Joe Ferriero, Co-Director    joe@teendrama.org

Joe is a graduate of Montclair State University (B.A.) and Seton Hall University (M. Ed.). He has directed several plays and musicals for both middle schools, high schools and community theaters, including: Annie, Guys and Dolls, Disney’s Aladdin, Disney’s High School Musical, Seussical, Grease, Oz! A Twisted Musical, Big Bad, Amy Goes Army, Happily Never After, You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brow, Bye Bye Birdie, The Sound of Music, Legally Blonde, Xanadu, Urinetown, Young Frankenstein, The Addams Family and Lysistrata Jones. He has performed on stage in: West Side Story (Doc), Guys and Dolls, Tear Along the Dotted Line (Randolph) [Off-Broadway], I Remember Mama (Uncle Chris), The Odd Couple (Oscar), Little Red Riding Hood… (Oswald, the Big Bad Wolf), Arsenic & Old Lace (Officer Brophy)Back to the 80s (Corey Palmer Sr.), Sussical (The Cat in the Hat) and more.  Joe has also worked with the Broadway musical Lysistrata Jones.  Check out Joe directing Princess Diana: The Musical this May @ Plays in Morris (Morris, MN) and directing Disney’s The Little Mermaid this May in Clinton, MN.

Joe is a principal at St. Mary’s School (Morris, MN) and holds several teacher certifications. In his spare time, Joe is also the owner of his own Web Design firm (Anura Web), theatrical licensing agent (Twisted Plays) and works with the West Hudson Arts & Theater Company.

Michele Sarnoski, Co-Director    michele@teendrama.org

Michele is a graduate of Susquehanna University (B.A.) and Seton Hall University (M. Ed.). She has choreographed multiple drama productions, including: Annie, Guys & Dolls Jr., Disney’s Aladdin Jr., Guys & Dolls, Oz! A Twisted Musical, 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee and You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown. Michele is the head cheering coach at Paramus High School and for more than 5 years the head cheering coach for St. Stephen School and St. Mary High School. As a producer, Michele has worked on Bye Bye Birdie, Sound of Music  and Legally Blonde (Paramus High School).  As a director Michele has worked on The Rocky Horror ShowDisney’s High School Musical, Down in Front, A Family Reunion to Die For, Xanadu, Urinetown, Young Frankenstein, The Addams Family, and Somewhere Nowhere.  Michele is also the director of W.H.A.T.’s 24 hour musicals.  Check out Michele directing A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum this June @ W.H.A.T.

When not teaching English at Paramus High School, Michele can be found working on her school’s yearbook, directing musicals at Queen of Peace HS, or relaxing with a good book.

Scott Burzynski, Vocal Coach    scott@teendrama.org

Scott is a graduate of Kutztown University (B.S.) with a degree in Music Education. He has been the Musical Director for Theatre at Bethlehem Catholic High School in Bethlehem, PA for two years where he worked on productions of Camelot, Nunsense, and Joseph & the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Scott has also served as interim band director at Bethlehem Catholic, and worked with the Pen Argyl Area High School Marching Band as Visual Technician. He is currently the organist and choir director at St. James Lutheran Church in Phillipsburg, NJ. Scott has been the vocal director for 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling BeeBye Bye Birdie, Sound of Music, Legally Blonde, Xanadu, Urinetown, Young Frankenstein, The Addams Family, Grease and Lysistrata Jones.  Scott also works on W.H.A.T.’s 24 hour musicals.  Scott directed W.H.A.T.’s production of Disney’s Sleeping Beauty.

Scott is currently a music teacher at Washington School in Kearny, NJ.


Kevin Kern, Acting Coach/Broadway Actor

Kevin is a graduate of NYU. He can currently be seen on National Tour in Finding Neverland.  His Broadway credits include the original company of Finding NeverlandThe Wedding Singer (Robbie Standby/Swing), Les Misérables (Marius), Wicked (Fiyero), First Date (standby) and The Bridges of Madison County (Robert). He was a swing in the pre-Broadway production of 9 to 5 the Musical. Kevin made his West End London Debut run in Hair. Off-Broadway shows include Next to Normal original company (standby for Dan and Dr. Madden), Altar Boyz original company (swing for all five parts) and Finian’s Rainbow at the Irish Repertory Theatre (Woody). Recent regional productions include Curtains (Aaron Fox), Grease (Danny) and Les Misérables (Marius) at St. Louis Muny.

Dana has worked with Teen Drama on Xanadu, Urinetown, Young Frankenstein, The Addams Family and Lysistrata Jones.  Dana also works with WHAT on their 24 hour musical challenge each year.
